TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, in his acceptance speech at the TNI - Polri prospective adolescence officers (Capaja) event, warns about the difficult task that awaits the young potentials caused by the technological disruption
President Jokowi reminds the prospectives that the rapid technological advancements in the military are all headed to autonomous weaponry and cyber defenses, which future military and police personnel must face.
“Based on that knowledge, TNI, and Police officers of the future must have the mentality and work ethics that are out of the normal. Changes in time must be faced swiftly and cleverly,” said Jokowi virtually from the Bogor Presidential Palace on Wednesday.
However, he reminded that despite the advancements, TNI and Police officers must consistently be loyal to the country’s ideology, Pancasila (five state ideologies), the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and maintain Indonesia’s unity and integrity.
