Chinese Workers' Health Guaranteed by Government

25 June 2020 10:10 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Chinese authority assured that each and every Chinese national traveling back to Indonesia has undergone health check protocols. This includes the foreign workers working in Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi.

“The first group will arrive in Indonesia accompanied by four medical staff. Prior to departure, these people have undergone COVID-19 tests and obtained health certificates that abide by Indonesian health protocols,” said Wang Liping, the economic and trade counselor for the Chinese Embassy, in a virtual press conference on Wednesday.

Liping guarantees that Chinese corporations employing foreign citizens are abiding by Indonesian regulations. The workers are also said to have actively transferred technology.

Moreover, Wang Liping explains that the arrival of foreign workers in Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi, has been approved by both China’s and Indonesia’s central government. The first arrivals accompanied by a medical team will work for six months in the field of engineering.
