Dr. Reisa Broto Explains COVID-19 Protocol Upon Visiting Malls

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian COVID-19 task force spokesperson, Reisa Broto Asmoro, on Monday explained the rules upon gathering in public areas that must be abided by shopping mall management and visitors alike.
She explained that the restrictions include wearing masks at all times, limiting the number of visitors, body temperature checks in every entrance door, and restricting the operational hours of shopping malls.
“If a worker or visitor is found to have temperatures above 37.7 degrees, the person must not be allowed entry,” said Reisa in yesterday’s press conference.
Doctor Reisa also noted that the distances between cashiers in shopping malls must be separated by a minimum distance of one-meter. She maintains the minimum distance between people must also be applied in cashier queues, escalators, and lifts.
Mall management are required to apply a transportation model that can prevent creating crowds and optimize open spaces to prevent crowds. The COVID-19 spokesperson strongly advises against visiting public places while suffering illnesses that show symptoms similar to the coronavirus.
However strict the protocols that are applied may be, Resia Broto Asmoro encouraged people to remain at home and find other alternatives before setting-off to shop in public.
