TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Government spokesman for COVID-19 Task Force, Achmad Yurianto, announced a rise in new COVID-positive cases of 1,226 people on June 20, adding the total to 45,029 positive cases.

“The total positive case is 45,029 people, with 17,883 recoveries, and 2,429 casualties,” Yurianto said Saturday, June 20, adding that the tested specimens were around 621,000.

The government urges people to prevent the wider spread of Covid-19 transmission. Therefore, it is important for the public to adhere to health measures by avoiding crowds, maintain physical distance, wash hands with soap regularly, and wear a face mask.

Yurianto said the government would conduct strict contact tracings and massive tests.
