BMKG Early Warning: Rainstorm Over Parts of Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning forecast calling for Jakarta residents to beware of potential rain and thunder over the capital city.
“Beware of a short stint of rainstorm along with strong winds in the area of South Jakarta and East Jakarta this noon and afternoon,” the BMKG website announced on Monday, June 15.
The BMKG also forecasts Monday to be completely overcast that will last until the evening and could potentially last up to Tuesday dawn.
As of today, the BMKG predicts areas that will be affected by the light intensity rain to include Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, and West Jakarta. While South Jakarta will see heavy rain and overcast over North Jakarta.
Jakarta’s satellite cities that include Bogor, City of Bogor, and Depok will also see light rain that will last through the night.
