Erick Thohir, Prabowo Meet for Defense Sector Collaboration

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir showed a photo of his meeting with Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto on his personal Instagram account @erickthohir on Thursday evening.
The caption of the post, dated June 11, said, "This noon, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and I held a discussion at the SOEs Ministry headquarters.”
According to Erick, he and Prabowo will try to maximize the collaboration between defense industry clusters to eventually reach the goal of national defense independence.
Since Erick Thohir’s social media post, the State-owned Enterprises Ministry has yet revealed the details of the meeting.
However, this can be assumed to be correlated to Erick’s request to Prabowo back on January 23 upon creating a blueprint for the defense industry for the next 10-15 years. Erick said the government is focused on boosting the national defense production capacity.
