TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government’s COVID-19 task force spokesman Achmad Yurianto said there were 703 confirmed new cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia on Friday, June 5, 2020.
“So the total is now 29.521 cases from the previous 28.818 cases,” Yurianto said in a Friday teleconference.
He went on to say that the number of recoveries was up from 8,892 to 9,443, while death toll climbed from 1,721 to 1,770.
Yurianto also called on the public the adhere to the health protocols as the country entered the transition period from the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) to the new normal era.
People are obliged to wear face masks and exercise physical distancing of one to two meters while doing outdoor activities, he said.
