COVID-19 Update: 8 Provinces Report Zero New Cases

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The national spokesman for the handling of COVID-19 task force, Achmad Yurianto, on Friday announced there were 8 provinces that reported zero new cases for the past three weeks.
“The last three weeks can already give us a picture of the future. There are no new cases found,” said Achmad Yurianto in a virtual press conference streamed live from the BNPB YouTube account today.
The eight provinces Yurianto refers to are Aceh, Bangka Belitung, Jambi, West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, West Sumatera, Central Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi. Yurianto added Riau Islands, Gorontalo, Yogyakarta, Bengkulu, and Southeast Sulawesi also reported 1-3 daily cases.
The figures bring the total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Indonesia to 25,216, with an additional 678 new cases today. The total number of recoveries, meanwhile, rose by 252 to 6,492, and death toll climbed by 24 to 1,520.
