TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-Owned Oil and Gas PT Pertamina Marketing Operation Region (MOR) VI Kalimantan confirmed that fuel consumption and gas consumption has been fulfilled during Eid Al-Fitr.
Regional Manager for Communication and CSR of Pertamina Kalimantan Roberth Dumatubun said that fuel consumption during this year's Eid Al-Fitr will be stable and will not increase like the previous years because the Covid-19 pandemic has prevented people from going out of their house.
"Consumption of fuel such as the Premium, Pertalite, Pertamax, and Pertamax Turbo for Kalimantan dropped by 26 percent from the normal monthly consumption, or equals to 1,885 kiloliters per day from the usual 7,114 kiloliters per day," Roberth said in a short message on Sunday, May 24, 2020.
Roberth added that Pertamina will continue to monitor their stock until 11 days after Eid Al-Fitr. Meanwhile, for Premium fuel, stock monitoring will be conducted until 13 days after Eid Al-Fitr.
"Generally, consumption of diesel such as the Biosolar, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex in Kalimantan drops by 17 percent compared to the normal average monthly consumption or equals to 482 kiloliters per day from the usual 2,786 kiloliters per day. Currently, diesel fuel stock can fulfill consumer needs until the next 12 days," Roberth said.
Roberts added that Pertamina will make sure to provide buffer stock to prevent fuel scarcity from happening.
