TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The COVID-19 task force in Jakarta’s coronavirus tracking website, corona.jakarta.go.id, recorded seven sub-districts out of 267 in the capital have yet reported positive cases of infections. However, officials warned that this does not necessarily mean they are entirely safe from the virus.
The seven areas are Kepulauan Seribu (Thousand Islands), Harapan Island, Pari Island, Panggang Island, Untung Jawa, Roa Malaka, South Duri in West Jakarta, and West Kuningan in South Jakarta.
Despite no recorded positive cases yet, the seven sub-districts have monitored a total of 158 ODPs (people monitored based on contact-tracing) and 20 PDPs (hospitalized patients under monitoring yet to be cleared by test results).
Up until Thursday, May 21, confirmed COVID-19 cases have reached 6,220 cases with three sub-districts reporting over 100 cases spread in Sunter Agung, North Jakarta (142 cases); Petamburan, Central Jakarta (126 cases); and West Pademangan, North Jakarta (117 cases).
The other 9 sub-districts, on average, have reported 50-90 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
