Bali Police Apprehend Perpetrator behind Fake Covid-free Notes

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Deputy Police Chief, Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono, stated that the authorities have apprehended the perpetrator behind the sale of fake Covid-free notes in Bali.
Previously, the police have found the fake certificate to be traded online, through a number of e-commerce platforms at varying prices.
"It has been handled by the Bali Police Chief and the culprit was arrested," Gatot said when confirmed on Friday, May 15, 2020.
Gatot has called for the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit (Kabareskrim) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to anticipate and prevent future sales of fake COVID-19-free certificates.
“The Kabareskrim has conveyed to all ranks (of the Police Force) to anticipate that it will not happen again in the future," remarked Gatot.
In the picture circulating online, the fake COVID-free notes were sold at prices ranging from Rp39,000 to Rp70,000, and were allegedly issued by a private hospital. In addition, a phone number had also been listed to place an order.
