Jakarta Preps Online Service of Covid-19 Travel Pass

15 May 2020 10:49 WIB

TEMPO.CO, JakartaJakarta provincial administration is preparing an online service of Covid-19 travel pass which will allow people to leave or visit the capital city, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi via its official page corona.jakarta.go.id.

A travel permission letter will be provided for those working in eleven sectors permitted to operate despite the pandemic, namely health, food, energy, technology communication and information, logistics, hotel, construction, strategic industries, public services, public utility, and industries tapped as national vital objects, and basic needs.

“[This is] an administrative service provided by the Jakarta administration for Indonesian citizens as a legal proof to take a trip to and or from Jakarta or Jabodetabek during Covid-19 pandemic,” as quoted from the letter.

For the permit, the government will divide two types of travel, namely repeated trips such as routine activities during the enforcement of the large-scale social restriction or PSBB and a one-way trip or a situational trip due to certain circumstances.

People can register themselves to obtain the travel note by accessing corona.jakarta.go.id/izin-keluar-masuk-jakarta, clicking "Urus Perizinan" link that will be directed to the JakEvo website, then filling out the application form. However, the service is not available yet as it is still in a trial stage.
