Teen Who Murdered a Child was a Rape Victim, Police Says

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chief of the General Crime Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Police Adj. Sr. Comr. Tahan Marpaung, revealed that the 14-year old teenager (NF), who was arrested earlier this year after allegedly murdering a 5-year-old child, was in fact a victim of rape that was committed by the teen's own uncle and ex-boyfriend.
The police commissioner said that the two rapists are under police detention. "There were three suspects [who raped NF]. Two of them were her own uncle and her ex-boyfriend," said Marpaung.
The revelation came after NF conducted a health test at the Kramatjati Police Hospital. The test's results showed that NF is 14 weeks pregnant.
Based on information gathered from NF, she had been sexually abused more than once before she eventually committed murder against her 5-year-old neighbor.
Police said that NF's uncle had even threatened to spread the video of the rape if NF tried to report the crime to the police.
Following NF's confession, the Police immediately arrested the three suspects and have them detained for immediate trial.
According to Police, NF will now be subjected to intensive rehabilitation at the Balai Anak Handayani rehab center while she awaits her trial for the child murder case.
