101 Firms in Jakarta Sealed for Violating PSBB

29 April 2020 11:14 WIB

TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Jakarta administration through Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Agency has temporarily sealed 101 companies or offices violating the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB).

Based on the agency’s data as of April 28, the companies were sealed as their businesses were not among sectors excluded from the social restrictions order mandated in the Gubernatorial Regulation No. 33/2020 and remained operating.

Out of the figure, 16 firms are located in Central Jakarta, 26 firms in West Jakarta, 19 firms in North Jakarta, 33 firms in South Jakarta, and seven in East Jakarta.

Other 119 businesses excluded from the eleven sectors yet granted permissions from the Industry Ministry were given a warning as they did not fully implement the protocols.

Meanwhile, some 440 companies allowed to operate during the PSBB were given training since they did not fully comply with designated health protocols.

The Gubernatorial Regulation No. 33/2020 noted that business and private companies or organizations in the sectors of health, food/beverages, energy, communication and information technology, finance, logistics, hotels, constructions, strategic industry, basic services, public utilities, and industries tapped as a national vital object and certain objects, as well as daily needs retailers are allowed to fully operable during the PSBB.

Therefore, Andri appealed to all companies prohibited to operate to follow the city’s order, given the ongoing spread of the coronavirus in the region. “It’s better to stay at home because the condition is already alarming,” he underlined.
