436,000 Reagents Distributed to Boost COVID-19 PCR Tests

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian spokesman for the handling of COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto, said that there are more than 436,000 PCR (polymerase chain reaction) reagents that have been distributed to a number of laboratories in Indonesia.
"This is the key to conduct up to 10,000 PCR tests on a daily basis," said Yurianto in a press conference streamed live from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) headquarter on Monday, April 27, 2020.
Currently, the COVID-19 task force has conducted PCR tests on 75,157 specimens from 59,409 test subjects across 46 laboratories. The team also reported that there are hundreds of thousands of people who have participated in screenings and contact tracing.
Following the COVID-19 screenings, 210,199 people were recorded as people under monitoring or ODP and 19,987 people were recorded as patients under monitoring (patients treated for showing symptoms).
As of Monday, April 27, 2020, there are 9,096 positive cases recorded with 1,151 recoveries and 765 deaths.
