Islamic Development Prepares IDR 3.9 T Covid-19 Emergency Funds

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Pembangunan Islam (IsDB) is ready to disburse emergency funds to help Indonesia with Covid-19 relief. The bank will give between USD 200 million USD 250 million, or around IDR 3.1 to IDR 3.9 trillion per today's currency rate.
"The Covid-19 emergency fund from IsDB is being negotiated," Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said through her Instagram account @smindrawati on Monday, April 27, 2020, Antara reported.
The assistance was one of the results of a teleconference between her and IsDB president Bandar Hajjar, on what the government plans for health, social aid, and business incentives during this pandemic.
Sri Mulyani said that the IsDB will provide Covid-19 relief together with other multilateral financial institutions including the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to Mitigate Covid-19
"The IsDB launches the 3R program; Response, Restore, Restart," she said.
