INFO TEMPO, Jakarta - The holy month of Ramadan is the most awaited month by all Muslims around the world. But this year’s Ramadan will be a little different from the years before, as Indonesians continue to stay at home to stop the spread of COVID-19. To celebrate togetherness and deliver the warmth of Ramadan to all Indonesians while staying safe, Grab has launched the first national contactless campaign, #SiapAntarRamadanmu.

Since the implementation of the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in Indonesia, everyone is required to be able to adapt to the new normal. "Now, we must be ready to adapt especially in the month of Ramadan that is usually filled with outdoor
activities. However, this is not something that can reduce our enthusiasm to provide the best service to our customers and partners," explained Neneng Goenadi, Managing Director of Grab Indonesia.

Through this #SiapAntarRamadanmu campaign, Grab wants Indonesians to continue to feel the joy of Ramadan as usual, but in a safer way, she added.

Local GrabFood Merchant are in business and ready to deliver million of menus #SiapAntarBerjutaMenu

To help customers with sahur (pre-dawn meal) and breakfasting preparation and to drive business for local restaurants during Ramadan, GrabFood is launching a variety of new features and activities.

“GrabFood continues to innovate to provide the best culinary experience for the customers and create the togetherness moment in Ramadan for customers. The warmth of Ramadan, especially during sahur and breakfasting, becomes our inspiration in designing various programs of GrabFood #SiapAntarBerjutaMenu. We hope that these initiatives will not only accompany customers during the holy month but also contribute to keep the economy running by supporting local culinary entrepreneurs in Indonesia,” said Hadi Surya Koe, Head of Marketing GrabFood, Grab Indonesia.

A new ‘Scheduled Order’ feature in GrabFood will give customers the flexibility of ordering their food from two hours and up to two days in advance.

GrabFood also launches Bukber Maya, a series of interactive events involving a number of public figures which will be live-streamed to customers. Through Bukber Maya, GrabFood hopes to bring joy to families during breakfasting, at the same time promote support for local merchant partners. Ramadan special menus offered by local restaurants will be available through 'Online Ramadan Market and Grab Kitchen Beduk Ramadan Package.'

In the spirit of giving and community, Indonesian customers will also be able to share their gratitude to GrabFood delivery partners by buying them meals from a special Ramadan menu for delivery partners provided by GrabFood merchant partners. To date, more than 3,000 GrabFood merchant-partners have participated in this initiative and more than 300,000 meals have been bought for GrabFood delivery-partners.

With safety being more important than ever, GrabFood along with its merchant partners have also increased the Integrated Safety Standard for Food Delivery Services which includes the application of more stringent food safety and hygiene procedures from the preparation process, the packing process until the shipping process which is marked with temperature and shield icon. In addition to merchant partners, all delivery partners are also educated to regularly conduct cleaning measures such as regularly washing hands, cleaning their delivery bags with disinfectant before and after delivering an order.

GrabFood also distributed 15,000 delivery bags equipped with insulators to maintain the food temperature and quality to select delivery-partners for free in Jabodetabek, Bandung, and Surabaya.

#SiapAntarBelanjaan: Making sure Indonesians have access to all basic staples Through GrabMart

To ensure that all Indonesians can have access to everything they need, especially during Ramadan, Grab has expanded the GrabMart service, an on-demand delivery service for daily necessities. GrabMart was launched in Jakarta on March 27 and has since expanded to 11 more cities: Bali, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, Makassar, Manado, Palembang, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Lampung, Manado.

#SiapAntarSilahturahmi: GrabExpress supports gift-giving during Ramadan

Sending gifts is an important Ramadan tradition. Hence Grab has launched Send Ramadan Packages: A cost-effective subscription package for shipping goods. Only Rp15,000 to send several goods. In addition, features like out-of-town shopping and ordering via Whatsapp will help meet people’s needs during Ramadan while they continue to stay at home.

Tyas Widyastuti as Head of GrabExpress, Grab Indonesia added, "We have also launched GrabAssistant; Grab's on-demand concierge service where customers can request the assistance of delivery partners to handle urgent needs or buy products in whatever shops the customer wants. Payment is made to delivery partners after the goods arrive at their destination. "

#SiapAntarKedekatan and #SiapAntarKemudahan: Helping Indonesians stay close to their families even while physically apart

To help Indonesians stay connected to each other even while they cannot meet physically, Grab is providing a special offering of bills and data package which includes various operators such as Telkomsel, Indosat, XL, Axis, Tri & Smartfren.

In addition, because Indonesians will not be able to travel back to their hometowns this year, GrabKios is providing a solution for customers to be able to send THR to their family and relatives through the nearest GrabKios warung.

Customers can easily search nearest GrabKios warung which will be available soon at the widget in Grab app. They just have to contact the phone numbers to share the home address and destination, then GrabKios partner will come to the customer's house to collect cash to be sent to the family.

GrabKios partners will ensure contactless transactions with customers and prepare a safe container to place cash from customers. This ‘Remittance’ feature can transfer to all bank accounts. Relatives at home can still feel the happiness that has been shared even though we’re not meeting in person.

"In line with GrabForGood mission, through #SiapAntarRamadanmu, we try to support the needs of users through every technological innovation that we introduce. Not only our users but our merchant partners and delivery partners, we deliver Ramadan to them through the opportunity to earn more income during Ramadan. Grab wants to invite all Indonesians to win over every challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic situation and deliver the happiness of Ramadan to their homes. Happy fasting!" added Neneng.
