“From 00:00 until 05:00 WIB (local time), a total of 1,181 vehicles from two blockades were told to turn around,” said Director of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic unit, Senior Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, in Jakarta.
Sambodo revealed that the two blockades were located in Bitung heading towards Merak and West Cikarang heading to Cikampek, with 498 vehicles in the former and 683 vehicles in the latter were told to turn around as part of the 2020 ‘Ketupat Jaya’ operation.
“This has been done starting (Friday) at 00:00," said the police.
