TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A hit Indonesian movie Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini or NKCTHI (One Day We’ll Talk About Today) helmed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko is set to be screened in Malaysia. Produced by Visinema Pictures, the film will be available on channel 480 of the on-demand streaming site Astro First starting April 23, 2020.
“Malaysia and Indonesia have a lot in common in terms of story culture. So Visinema is very pleased to see NKCTHI in Malaysia via Astro First. This film narrates an imperfect relationship between parents and children as they are trying to find a happy place with what they have,” said Angga in a written statement received by Tempo on Wednesday, April 22.
The family drama movie was initially scheduled to air in Malaysian theaters but was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The film, starred by Rio Dewanto (Angkasa), Sheila Dara (Aurora), and Rachel Amanda (Awan), has strong messages about family and is also close to the lives of Malaysian people.
“This story is close to our lives as a child, regardless of whether we are the eldest, the middle child, or the youngest. This film also shows the parents’ capacity to express their love for their children and family. Hopefully, this film will spur the hearts of our families,” said the producer Anggia Kharisma.
The film that is adapted from the best-selling Indonesian novel by Marchella FP also features Donny Damara, Oka Antara, Susan Bachtiar, and Ardhito Pramono.
