TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology Director, Amin Soebandrio, said there are several elements that could be the reason of why Indonesia’s coronavirus (COVID-19) recovery rate climbed significantly for the past four days.
“Firstly, doctors or hospitals are more prepared. It can also be because the patients arrived sooner to the hospital along with much better-prepared treatment protocol,” said Soebandri in a text message confirmation on Monday.
Referring to the Health Ministry’s official data up to April 19, the number of COVID-19 recoveries has reached 686 people with a mortality rate of 582 from a total of 6,575 positive cases.
Despite the fortunate statistic, COVID-19 spokesman Achmad Yuriant on Sunday reminds people to stay home and prevent the scenario of unknown carriers spreading the coronavirus to a larger crowd.
