COVID-19 Update: Positive Cases Rise to 5,516 Nationwide

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's COVID-19 spokesman Achmad Yurianto announced 380 new confirmed coronavirus cases that bring the total up to 5,516 cases.
"The total number has grown from 5,136 cases," said Yurianto in a teleconference on Tuesday, April 16, 2020.
Moreover, Achmad also announced that the number of successful recoveries had increased from 446 to 548 people while the death toll has also risen from 469 to 496.
Yurianto also reminded people to obey government protocols to stay home and avoid conducting unnecessary outdoor activities and social interactions.
One city that has imposed a stricter social distancing measure is Jakarta with its PSBB or large-scale social restrictions that came to effect on April 10 and are expected to last until April 24.
"Let us all be safe by staying at home," Achmad concluded.
