TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The newly appointed Jakarta deputy governor Ahmad Riza Patria said that he will use his presence in the city’s administration to assist governor Anies Baswedan in completing his programs.
“Hopefully, my presence in Jakarta will be able to help run all the programs that have been prepared for the city,” said Riza on Wednesday. “I hope my presence will be helpful for the governor in handling the pandemic.”
He asserted that his priority as deputy governor will focus on the handling of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Riza Patria was inaugurated as Jakarta deputy governor by President Jokowi in a modest fashion at the State Palace today with a small number of guests as the city is still battling to break the chain of coronavirus transmissions.
