Budi Karya Self Quarantines after Recovering from Coronavirus

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi has recovered from coronavirus (COVID-19) and has been released from the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital (RSPAD) where he was treated for the past weeks.
His release from the hospital was confirmed by the Transportation Ministry’s spokesperson Adita Irawati in a text message to Tempo on Wednesday, April 15. However, she did not elaborate on the actual release date.
"Minister Budi Karya Sumadi a few days ago has returned to his home after being treated at the RSPAD," she said.
Adita only assured that Budi Karya is in a healthy state and is undergoing self-quarantine for the next 14-days while still closely monitored by doctors. He is still receiving close medical monitoring to avoid a reoccurrence of the coronavirus in his system.
The Minister was initially admitted to the hospital for asthma and typhus, but tested positive for coronavirus on March 14 and was immediately treated.
