TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian COVID-19 team spokesman Achmad Yurianto announced Monday 316 new coronavirus cases, which increased the total number of coronavirus patients to 4,557.
“The number of cases increased to 4,557 cases from the previous 4,241 cases,” said Yurianto in today’s press conference.
He also revealed that the number of recoveries has improved from 359 to 380 people as of today. Meanwhile, the deaths from positive cases rose from 373 to 399 cases.
Yurianto also encouraged people to stay at home and obey regional large-scale social restriction (PSBB) policies that have been imposed on a number of regions, including Jakarta, which has imposed it since April 10.
The COVID-19 spokesman also urged people to greatly reduce their outdoor activities and outdoor social interactions. “Because it is the only way we can cut the chain of transmission,” he reminded.
