Jakarta COVID-19 Update; 2,242 Positive and 142 Recovered

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As of Monday at 08:00 local time (WIB), April 13, 2020, corona.jakarta.go.id official website noted 2,242 positive COVID-19 cases found in Jakarta. Of that number, 1,370 patients are still being treated, 142 patients recovered, 209 deceased, and 521 are undergoing self isolation.

Furthermore, according to the website, 2,917 People under Monitoring (ODP) have been identified in Jakarta. Of this total, 575 people are still being monitored and 2,342 have completed their monitoring process.

In addition, the website recorded 2,405 Patients under Surveillance (PDP), of which 1,127 patients are still being treated and the remaining 1,278 are healthy and have been discharged.

Out of the total positive COVID-19 cases in Jakarta, 1,233 cases have had their original location of transmission identified, while the Jakarta Health Office is still investigating the original location of the other 1,009 cases.

The Jakarta Provincial Government has implemented the Large Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) policy, since April 10, 2020.

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan stated that the Jakarta PSBB would continue to be in effect until April 23. As a result, Anies has encouraged Jakarta residents to be disciplined during the PSBB period, in order to curb the COVID-19 outbreak in the capital.
