TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Achmad Yurianto, the government’s spokesman for the handling of the novel coronavirus outbreak, announced more new positive cases today, April 6.
“The new confirmed COVID-19 cases obtained by PCR method, instead of rapid tests, amount to 218, bringing the total cases to 2,491,” said Yurianto.
The number of patients who have recovered also increased by 28. Thus, a total of 192 people have been declared cured. However, the fatalities were recorded at 209, up by 11.
Yurianto claimed as many as 11,242 Indonesians had been screened for the new virus by health workers from the central to regional governments—80 percent of them tested negative for the coronavirus.
