TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Community movements from nearly every aspect of society continue to assist those in need, one of which is the movement to provide lunch for health workers in the frontline of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak dubbed the “Lunch 4 Paramedic.”
This movement was initiated by a Jakarta resident, Titi Rusdi, who provides free lunch meals for paramedics that are on coronavirus duty. Titi started the movement to help health workers maintain a healthy and nutritious diet.
“We help provide free lunch to paramedics with healthy and nutritious foods to maintain their health,” said Titi on Thursday, April 2.
Titi first started the movement on March 25, by sending 200 lunch boxes to the Tanah Abang and Depok general hospitals which was then shared on social media to inspire others do the same as a means to support medical workers amid the outbreak mitigation.
She was then contacted by others who are motivated to do the same act of kindness. That was the time she accepted donations to help further the cause.
“We hand it over to hospitals and then they are the ones who will distribute it to paramedics. But we requested that the food are prioritized for the COVID-19 team,” said Titi.
