Rapid Tests Show 282 of 17,534 Jakartans Positive for COVID-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government has conducted Covid-19 rapid tests to 17,534 of its residents and 282 individuals tested positive for the coronavirus as of Tuesday afternoon, March 31.
"The Jakarta Provincial Government has conducted rapid tests in five districts of the city and the Thousand Islands administrative district," Chief of the Jakarta COVID-19 Task Force, Catur Laswanto, stated in an online press conference, at the Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday, March 31.
The 282 who tested positive, Catur continued, will be followed up with a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) swab test.
Today's data shows that there are 741 confirmed positive cases, with 451 hospitalized patients and 157 undergoing self isolation.
According to Catur, as many as 49 patients have recovered, 94 died, and 640 people are still waiting for the test results. Meanwhile, 81 medical personnel spread in 30 hospitals have also been recorded as COVID-19 positive.
In addition, patients under monitoring (PDP) in Jakarta since the beginning of the outbreak are now recorded to be 1,086 people, with 747 patients still being treated and 339 allowed to go home.
On the other hand, people under monitoring (ODP) in Jakarta since the beginning of the outbreak are now recorded to be 2,302 people, with 499 being monitored, and 183 having completed the monitoring.
