Lombok Confirms First Case of Covid-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Governor Zulkieflimansyah said that one resident of Lombok has tested positive for the new coronavirus or Covid- 19. The patient is a 50-year old female.
The governor said the patient has been treated at the West Nusa Tenggara Province's General Hospital since March 17.
Zulkieflimansyah said that the patient is likely to have contracted the disease outside of the NTB region.
"She is in good condition. We are waiting for two negative test results before she can leave the hospital," the governor said today, March 24.
He said that health officers are tracing her contacts with other people to prevent further spreading of the disease in Lombok.
Zulkieflimansyah asked residents to remain calm, avoid crowds, and maintain a healthy, hygienic lifestyle, as well as reducing activities outside their homes.
He said the provincial government is ready to face the second phase of anticipating and responding to the potential spread of Covid-19.
