TEMPO.CO, JakartaDeputy Mayor of Bandung Yana Mulyana has been tested positive for COVID-19. "I have run test and it comes back positive," said Yana through a video received by Tempo on Monday, March 23, 2020.

Yana explained that he decided to take a test after having a fever. At present, he was isolating himself. "I ask for prayers from all people," he said.

Displayed on the video uploaded on his Instagram account, Yana said that he has been isolating himself for 11 days and will continue doing so until he is recovered from the deadly virus which reportedly first emerged in Wuhan, China.

"The results of my swab test today have come out from West Java Health Agency and I am declared to have contracted COVID-19. I have been isolating myself for 11 days and will resume for the next few days," Yana added.

Meanwhile, Head of Bandung Public Relations Unit Sonny Teguh Prasatya confirmed that Yana Mulyana was tested positive for the coronavirus infection. However, Sonny balked at commenting further as he was still coordinating with Bandung Mayor Oded M. Danial. "Yes, it is true," he said shortly.
