TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo along with First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo announced the result of their COVID-19 test. Based on the medical report, both the President and First Lady tested negative for the virus.
“Myself, together with Ibu Iriana underwent COVID-19 testing four days ago. The test result has been issued. And alhamdulillah the tests were negative,” said the president in a video sent by the Presidential Palace press bureau on Thursday, March 19.
President Joko Widodo used this opportunity to express his appreciation toward each and every medical worker who has worked day-and-night in the frontline of Indonesia’s battle against the coronavirus.
“I convey my utmost appreciation to the doctors and nurses across all hospitals who are working tirelessly and dedicated to treating COVID-19 patients,” said Widodo, alongside Iriana.
