Bekasi Confirms 9 COVID-19 Cases Per Wednesday

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bekasi City announced through its official website corona.bekasikota.go.id that nine residents tested positive of having contracted the coronavirus infection or COVID-19.
Head of Public Relations of the city's secretariat, Sayekti Rubiah, confirmed the page is the official site of the city. "[The website] is a source of information about coronavirus contagion in Bekasi City," Sayekti told Tempo on Thursday, March 19.
The site displays a total of nine positive patients. In details, two of them were being treated, while seven others conducted self-isolation. Besides, there are 21 people under monitoring who are classified in the PDP category as they showed no symptoms. 14 of them were still being treated and seven were declared healthy.
Moreover, a total of 45 people were placed under monitoring (classified in ODP) as they developed symptoms of the pneumonia-like disease with 25 of them passed the monitoring. Data on the site was last updated on Wednesday, March 18, at 11:59 p.m. local times.
The number of COVID-19 positive cases soared significantly compared to yesterday. In fact, on Wednesday morning, Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi claimed his region had no such case.
