TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - South Jakarta's Pancoran Sector Police Commissioner Johanis Soeprijanto confirms that the video showing a man collapsed at a train station in Jakarta, who was attended by security personnel, was unrelated to coronavirus (COVID-19). Police said that the person was medically assisted due to extreme fatigue.
According to the police commissioner, the collapsed person - who is yet to be identified - passed out due to hunger.
“The person regained his health after he was assisted by security personnel. He then continued with his journey,” said the police on Wednesday, March 18.
The Pancoran Police Sector is now hunting the individual who recorded the incident that happened on Saturday, March 14. “We have reported the case to police’s cyber patrol department,” he said.
A video went viral showing a number of train station security personnel assisting a person who was lying on a stretcher at the Duren Kalibata Station in South Jakarta on Wednesday.
