TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The national spokesman for the COVID-19 mitigation, Achmad Yurianto, announced that two more Indonesians had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The two patients were confirmed of having contracted the virus after Jakarta Health Agency traced people who made contact with Case 1 and Case 2 (contact tracing).
The first two cases of the new coronavirus in Indonesia were Depok residents who were infected by the virus from a Japanese national during a dance event in Jakarta.
From this cluster, the Health Agency checked 80 people suspected of having made contact with the first two patients. Seven of them apparently made close contact with Case 1 and Case 2.
“After we checked, two are confirmed positive. We name them Case 3 and 4. Their current body temperatures are 37.6 and 37.7 degrees Celcius, respectively,” said Yurianto at the Presidential Office, Jakarta on Friday, March 6.
