TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tangerang Health Agency held a simulation of handling patients with coronavirus on Wednesday, March 4, as a response to the discovery of the Covid-19 case in Depok, West Java.
Head of the city's Health Agency, doctor Liza Puspadewi, said that 32 hospitals and 36 community health centers are involved in the simulation.
"We simulate the mitigation through the tabletop exercise if there are residents who have symptoms of contracting (with characteristics) of the Coronavirus; starting from treatment in the emergency installation until later they are referred to the hospital that has been appointed by the government as a referral hospital for handling Covid-19 patients," the doctor said.
According to Liza, they must follow the operational standards (SOP), such as wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and using other medical devices.
"If there is a death case, special treatment should be done to avoid the spread of the virus, even those who bathe the dead body must wear PPE. We have simulated it all," she said, adding that Tangerang City Government has also formed the Coronavirus Mitigation Task Force.
Meanwhile, Liza confirmed that until now there has been no patient of coronavirus suspect in Tangerang City.
