Jokowi Says 2 Indonesians Contracted COVID-19 from a Japanese

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi said that the mother-daughter Indonesians who was tested positive for the novel coronavirus contracted it from a Japanese national.
The Japanese, Jokowi said, had visited Indonesia some time ago before she was tested positive.
"The mother and daughter are in Indonesia. They are already treated at a hospital. The 64-year-old mother and her 31-year-old daughter," the president said at the state palace on Monday, March 2.
Jokowi said the government is ready to handle the situation. "The government has been ready from the beginning. We have hospitals, equipment and SOPs with international standards," Jokowi said.
He also said that the patients have now been taken to a hospital to get treated under intensive security.
Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto said the two patients who were infected with the pneumonia-causing virus named Covid-19 are from Depok. They were taken to Sulianti Saroso Hospital in Jakarta.
