BMKG: Local Rain to Occur in Some Parts of Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) today mentioned that local rain potentially occurs in some parts of Jakarta later this afternoon. Some parts like West Jakarta, South Jakarta and East Jakarta will have rain in the morning while the other three areas are only cloudy.
Local rain still can occur in West Jakarta, South Jakarta and the Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu) at night. Whereas Central Jakarta, East Jakarta and North Jakarta are predicted to be cloudy.
On Friday at dawn, it is predicted that the entire Jakarta area will have rain with varying intensity, except South Jakarta. West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands dampened with light rain and East Jakarta will have local rain while South Jakarta is overcast.
The BMKG also issued early weather warnings for Central Jakarta, West Jakarta and North Jakarta at dawn.
"Be aware of the potential for heavy rains accompanied by lightning and strong winds with short duration in the North Jakarta, West Jakarta and Central Jakarta at dawn," according to an early weather warning reported from the page bmkg.go.id, Thursday 27 February 2020.
The BMKG predicts Bogor, Depok and Bekasi regions will have light rain in the afternoon and early morning. For the Bogor region, light rain ptrdictd to occur throughout the day.
