BMKG Warns Thunderstorm in Jakarta at Dawn

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early weather alert for the entire Jakarta at dawn on Thursday, predicting thunderstorms will hit Jakarta until the Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu).
"Be alert of the potential heavy rains with lightning and strong winds in a short duration in North Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta and Central Jakarta at dawn," according to an early warning of the weather as reported by the agency on its official website bmkg.go.id on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.
Local rain is predicted to fall over West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta during the day. Meanwhile, the weather in other parts of the city will be cloudy which will continue until night.
BMKG also announced early warnings on the weather in Bogor and Bekasi regions. In Bogor, rain with lightning is predicted to fall in the late afternoon. While the potential for rain in Bekasi is estimated to occur at night and dawn.
