BMKG: Jakarta to See Heavy Rain on Monday Night

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said Jakarta will see heavy rain on Monday night.
Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds is expected to occur from Monday night to Tuesday morning.
"Be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds with a short duration in the North Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta and East Jakarta at bight before dawn," according to an early warning reported by BMKG official website bmkg.go.id.
While on Monday afternoon, the BMKG predicted local rain to occur in South Jakarta and East Jakarta. On the other Jakarta areas, it was predicted to be cloudy.
The heavy rain that occur in Jakarta on Monday early morning until morning had caused flooding in some points and inundated some roads, made it impassable by vehicles.
On Sunday, some motor driver forced to cross the Cempaka Putih Toll Road because the water level that inundated Cempaka Putih area is impossible for motorcycle to pass.
Two buildings of Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) also being affected by the Jakarta flood, they are the Building A, which is the inpatient room, and the Tiara building. Also, there are three other flooded rooms which are the Radiology Department, Radiotherapy Department and Internal Medicine Department.
The BMKG also delivered early warnings for Bogor, Bekasi and Depok regions from afternoon until night, "Beware of the thunderstorm in Bogor, Depok and Bekasi," said BMKG on their website.
