TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bekasi City introduces the innovation of 5D theater at Go! Wet Waterpark in the Grand Wisata area. The attraction is called Go! Wet 5D Theater where visitors can watch a movie while being doused with water from various sides.
"This 5D program is different, we make this theater wet with the water effect; nearly 200 liters per film," said Mahaka Attraction Director, Herijanto Judarta, during a media conference in Go! Wet Waterpark Grand Wisata, Bekasi, on Thursday, February 20, 2020.
The theater has a capacity for 36 people, allowing visitors to experience the Go! Wet 5D Theater by sitting on simulator seats. The chair movement will mirror the picture shown, similar to the sensation of water rafting.
The duration of the screentime is five minutes. While watching, visitors are given polarized glasses to look at the screen. The visitors whose bodies are already wet after swimming may get on the ride but raincoats are also provided for visitors who do not want to get wet.
The Go! Wet 5D Theater is claimed to be the first wet theater in Indonesia. "Our record states that this is the first 5D cinema waterpark, this is a new pioneer in Indonesia," said MURI Executive Director Osmar Semesta Susilo.
Go! Wet Waterpark lies in a 7.5 hectares are and can be visited via the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road by taking the exit at KM21 Tambun toll gate. This year, Go! Wet Waterpark is managed by Mahaka Attractions, a subsidiary in the Mahaka Media Group business network.
