TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The US-based tech giant Google cooperated with the Directorate General of Tax at the Finance Ministry and the Center for Indonesia Taxation Analysis (CITA). In the partnership, its mobile app Google Primer will provide information regarding the taxation of micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs).
“We are very proud of this collaboration, the first time in the world for Google,” said Managing Director of Google Indonesia, Randy Jusuf, during the launching event of Grow with Google at the National Library in Central Jakarta, Tuesday, February 18.
Google Primary is an application to teach digital business and marketing to entrepreneurs and people who want to run a business. In this free app, the learning section will include finance and tax lesson.
Four main lessons provided in the app included the understandings and tax payment for MSMEs in Indonesia, the monitoring of one-year business finance, the separation of personal and business finance, and the management of project budget.
“I hope the collaboration with the Tax Directorate General will not stop here and open up new opportunities in the future,” Randy said.
The Tax Director-General Suryo Utomo said Google Primer would provide free learning modules on financial basics, including on income tax (PPh) for MSMEs based on the Government Regulation No. 23/2018. “We welcome the partnership,” Suryo said.
