Ashraf Sinclair, Spouse of BCL, Passes Away at 40

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ashraf Sinclair, a Malaysian actor and spouse of Indonesian singer Bunga Citra Lestari or BCL, has passed away on Tuesday morning, February 18. The news was first shared via a Whatsapp group of entertainment reporters.
“The spouse of BCL has died of a heart attack. Please forgive all his mistakes and pray for him so he will be granted a noble place beside Allah. Amin,” as quoted from the news circulated today.
Born in 1979, Ashraf died at 4:51 a.m. at MMC Hospital, Kuningan at 40 years old, reports said.
The manager of BCL Doni confirmed the news. “Yes, it’s true. We will make a statement later. We are still taking care of the deceased,” he said.
Ashraf whose full name Ashraf Daniel bin Mohamed Sinclair was also acted in Indonesian soap operas, including Catatan Hati Seorang Istri from which he got a nickname of Mas Bram. In Malaysia, he was well known for his role in the movie titled Gol & Gincu.
Ashraf Sinclair married BCL on November 8, 2008, with a child Noah Sinclair. Previously, they had been on vacation while attending New York Fashion Week along with Ashraf’s brother Adam and wife, a singer Yuna.
