BMKG: Rain in Almost All Jakarta Areas on Wednesday Afternoon

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) estimates that the entire Jakarta area will have rain on Wednesday afternoon except for the Thousand Island (Kepulauan Seribu) area. However, the intensity of rain in the afternoon will vary.
Quoted from the BMKG official website, Wednesday, local rain predicted to pour at noon in South Jakarta, light rain in North Jakarta, and moderate rain to occur in West Jakarta, Central Jakarta and East Jakarta, while The Thousand Island will be cloudy.
In the morning, some areas like West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta and the Thousand Island will be cloudy, on the other hand, light rain will pour on two regions, East Jakarta and North Jakarta.
At night, the whole Jakarta also predicted to be cloudy, except for the Thousand Island which will experience local rain.
As well on Thursday, the majority of Jakarta areas will be cloudy and sunny, except for the Thousand Island which will still be poured by local rain.
BMKG predicted the lowest humidity reaches 80 percent, as in South Jakarta and East Jakarta, and the highest is 100 percent, in the same region with wind speeds range from 10 kilometers/hour.
The BMKG website also urged people to be aware of changing weather in the afternoon and evening in three Jakarta areas through an early warning. "Be alert of potential rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds of short duration in the South Jakarta, West Jakarta and East Jakarta in the afternoon and evening."
