TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - City-owned bus operator PT Transjakarta is eyeing to attract a total of 321 million passengers compared to last year’s target of 264 million. Transjakarta acting president Yoga Adiwinarto says a number of new strategies will be applied to achieve this goal.
“What we will attempt is expansion. One of them will be done by adding new bus routes,” Yoga announced at the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) headquarters in Central Jakarta on Monday, February 3.
Moreover, the company is eyeing to see additional routes opened which adds to the original 278 bus routes to 285. He was also open to possible modifications to current existing Transjakarta bus routes.
Apart from additional bus routes, the firm will also grow its Transjakarta fleets from 3,865 buses to 4,334 which varies across all specific types of buses that will further connect commuters in Jakarta.
