Anies to Focus Jakarta as Economic Center After Capital City Move

  • TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan stated that Jakarta will focus more as economic, business, and tourism center after no longer being the capital city.

    President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) planned to move the capital city to East Kalimantan.     According to Taufik, he hopes that after the move of the capital city to East Kalimantan, Jakarta's fate can be immediately determined and could become the center of economic and trade.

    Taufik went on, it will require a careful discussion to change Jakarta in specific and asked the public to pay attention too in the capital move. "I'm inviting the political parties to discuss intensively because it could affect the political structure," he remarked.
