Police Chief Taps KPK Ex-chief Agus Rahardjo as Adviser

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Police Chief General Idham Azis has appointed the former head of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Agus Rahardjo as an expert adviser on the corruption handling. The appointment is noted in the police decree No. KEP/7/1/2020 dated January 21.
The police spokesman Brig. Gen. Argo Yuwono confirmed the news. “Yes, that is right,” said Argo via a phone call with Tempo on Thursday, January 23.
When asked for confirmation, Agus said he is ready to take on his new task. “Inshallah I can provide valuable inputs on the handling of corruption either inside or outside the police institution,” Agus remarked.
Apart from Agus Rahardjo, Idham selected Refly Harun as a police expert adviser for state administration affairs, Rustika Herlambang as an expert adviser for social media, and Ifdal Kasim as an expert adviser for human rights affairs.
Wildan Syafitri and Andy Soebjakto Molanggato are also named as an expert adviser for economic affairs and an expert adviser for the youth movement, respectively.
Idham Azis has further announced Sisno Adiwinoto an expert adviser for police science, Adi Indrayanto as an expert adviser for information technology, and Fahmi Alamsyah as an expert adviser for public communication.
