Former Minister Arcandra Tahar Named PGN President Commissioner

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Arcandra Tahar has officially been named as president commissioner of the state-owned gas firm, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN). His naming was decided in the extraordinary general shareholders meeting (RUPSLB) on Tuesday.
“First of all, I would like to thank Pak President who has tasked me as PGN president commissioner from today on and I also thank everyone involved,” said Arcandra at the PGN headquarters on Tuesday, January 21.
He also expressed his hopes to improve the firm’s potential, namely at the upstream level to establish added value. Arcandra also pledged dedication to help improve PGN as he said the company has potential that needs improvement.
At the same time, PGN president director Gigih Prakoso expressed his support for Arcandra and believes that as the new president commissioner, he will strengthen the board of commissioners and improve PGN not only as a business entity but also to further support the government’s programs.
PGN’s board of commissioners are as follows:

- Paiman Rahardjo (independent commissioner)
