TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a search in the General Election Commission (KPU) office on Monday, January 13, 2020. The search was made following the arrest of KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan for an alleged graft case.
"Yes, [the search is held Monday, January 13, 2020]," KPK's acting spokesman Ali Fikri confirmed to Tempo on January 13, 2020.
The anti-graft body had previously sealed off Wahyu's office on Thursday, January 9, 2020, a day after the sting operation. Ali stopped short of mentioning whose offices searched in the election body's building.
KPK earlier named Wahyu and former member of the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) Agustiani Tio Fridelina suspects for receiving a bribe from a PDIP politician Harun Masiku and businessman Saefulah.
KPK suspected Harun of giving Rp900 million to Wahyu Setiawan to help him clinching a seat of the House of Representatives (DPR).
