Banyuwangi Festival 2020 to Present 30 New Attractions

TEMPO.CO, Banyuwangi - East Java regency of Banyuwangi will hold Banyuwangi Festival 2020. The regent Abdullah Azwar Anas said there are 30 new attractions in this event, ensuring that it will give a new experience to the visitors.
”There are a lot of completely fresh events to create a new experience for tourists. Some of them initiated by the Banyuwangi residents," said Anas in a press release received by Tempo on Thursday, January 9, 2020.
One of the new attractions is coffee stalls in a number of coffee-producing centers, such as in Kalibaru that regularly exporting thousands of tonnes of this commodity to Italy and several countries in Europe. In previous years, this attraction was centered at Kemiren Traditional Village.
”We can drink coffee directly in the plantations,” Anas said.
There will also be 15 food festivals at this event, including Chocolate Food Festival, Bamboo Food Festival, and Millennials Food Festival.
”We expand culinary festival because the demand is high, and the most important is we can bring the local stalls and homemade food businesses,” said the regent.
Banyuwangi Festival 2020 also presents various culinary booths that are mixed with dance and fashion attractions, sports tourism, and so on.
Besides, the world's most prestigious surfing event World Surf League (WSL) will also be held during this festival in Plengkung Beach. Not to forget the International Tour de Banyuwangi Ijen which has been named the best bicycle race in Indonesia by International Cycling Union (UCI).
”We expand the number of sport tourism because Banyuwangi is green and very suitable for sports competitions,” Regent Anas added.
Previous successful events such as Beach Jazz, Ijen Jazz, and Gandrung Sewu Festival, will also be represented.
