TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has inspected the flood handling in Sukajaya sub-district, Bogor Regency today, January 7. The visit was not on the schedule as he should have gone to Lebak regency, Banten for the same agenda.
The President left for Lebak Regency, Banten Province, on Tuesday, January 7 at 07:29 a.m from the Bogor Presidential Palace. But on the way, he decided to visit Sukajaya District first, said Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, who accompanied the President.
"Pak Yayat, Bapak President wants to go to Sukajaya. So we change the destination," Pramono told the Presidential Secretariat Protocol Bureau head Yayat Hidayat via a phone call as quoted from the press release of the Presidential Secretariat on Tuesday, January 7.
The former Jakarta governor was initially scheduled to visit Sukajaya on Sunday, yet it was canceled due to bad weather for the presidential helicopter to land in the region.
In Sukajaya, Jokowi visited the Harkat Village Office, the aid center post for the disaster victims, and had a chance to inspect the process of the road opening that was blocked by landslides. After leaving the location, the President and the entourage then continued the trip to Lebak Regency, Banten Province.
